Hi, I’m Noora!

Before becoming a trauma therapist, I worked in finance as a biotech investor relations consultant and spent years in the film world — directing narrative shorts, editing feature documentaries, and soaking up stories in all forms. Eventually, I found my way to clinical social work, and it just clicked: I love empowering real people to discover the truth in their own stories.

I was born in Finland and grew up here in the United States. As I was founding The Traumatologists, I drew upon my Finnish heritage. The Traumatologists logo is inspired by Juksakka, a goddess of birth and fate, in Sámi mythology. As a symbol, she represents the sacred responsibility of guiding growth, tending to the unseen, and holding what is vulnerable with strength and presence.
